UPCOMING EVENTS

BRIGHT CLUB: HEAT

Wednesday 23rd July

Bright Club started off as an experiment: What would happen if we got a bunch of interesting comedians and combined them with all of the fascinating people who work for one of the UK’s best Universities? And what would happen if we did that combining on a stage, in front of an attractive and intelligent public audience? And what if we didn’t worry about whether people were famous, or experienced, or had been on TV, and instead just picked people that we thought were brilliant at telling stories about what they know? Bright Club started as a collaboration between comedy promoters One Green Firework, music promoters Duel in the Deep and UCL, London’s Global University.

POST APOCALYPTIC BOOK CLUB

Tuesday 29th July

July's book is something a little bit different. Get ready for it.... we'll be reading a kind of dystopian detective story! It's also a short one at 146 pages Here's the Blurb: "God's Dog is Diego Marani's first detective novel, introducing Domingo Salazar, a Dominican monk, who is a Vatican secret agent. Italy is now a theocratic state ruled by the Vatican, whose secret agents are dedicated to root out non-believers and heretics. The sanctity of life is being challenged by a cell of dissidents helping sufferers commit euthanasia."
